About Pastor Darrell

Hi, I’m Pastor Darrell Delaney—husband, father of three, pastor, writer, and spiritual advisor. I created CompassWrite because I believe everyone was created on purpose and for a purpose—and sometimes, we all need help finding our way back to that truth.

 

Over the past 15 years, I’ve served in a variety of ministry roles—from local church leadership to regional chaplaincy in Michigan’s jails. As a pastor and spiritual leader, I’ve had the honor of walking with people through their darkest valleys and their most joyful breakthroughs. I’ve learned that true transformation begins when we rediscover who we are in Christ, surrender our false selves, and begin to live into the healing, calling, and wholeness we were made for.

 

Here at CompassWrite, I share devotions, insights, podcast episodes, and resources designed to help you get clarity on your identity, navigate life with purpose, and walk closely with Jesus. Whether you’re a leader looking for direction, a believer wrestling with doubt, or someone simply hungry for more, this space was created with you in mind.

 

When I’m not writing or recording, you can find me playing chess, spending time with my wife and our three amazing kids, or coaching others toward spiritual and emotional breakthrough.
